1. Who we are
EcoCremation is a trading name of PREMIERE INTERNATIONAL LIMITED (registered office: 35 Firs Avenue, London, England, N11 3NE). We arrange direct cremation and related services via our network of trusted partners across mainland Great Britain.
We provide information to help you make an informed choice; we do not provide financial advice. For contact details, see 10.5 Contact.
2. About the Plan (what’s included/excluded)
2.1 What’s included
- Collection of the deceased from a hospital, mortuary or coroner within mainland Great Britain (24/7). Home/hospice care collections may require an additional team — see 7.3.
- Care of the deceased at our partner facility prior to cremation.
- A suitable coffin for cremation. If you selected our optional Greener Choice eco-coffin, this will be shown on your Summary.
- Transport to the crematorium and an unattended (direct) cremation or a simple attended service, depending on your Plan.
- Crematorium fees and necessary paperwork/medical certification where applicable.
- Return of ashes to the next of kin/Nominated Representative within [14] days (or scattering at the crematorium garden if requested).
2.2 What’s not included
- Repatriation from outside mainland Great Britain (see 5.6).
- Embalming, viewings, wakes, limousines, flowers, orders of service, headstones or memorials (unless your Plan explicitly includes them).
- Costs arising from bariatric, specialist or out-of-hours home removals beyond standard provision (see 7.3).
- Any fees introduced by law after purchase (see 7.2).
2.3 Service area
The Plan covers cremation within mainland Great Britain. We will allocate a crematorium from our partner network for unattended cremations. For plans that include attendance, we will discuss preferences with your Nominated Representative at the time of need.
3. Eligibility and who can buy
- Customer must be aged 18+ and resident in the UK at application.
- You may purchase for yourself or for another person (the “Covered Individual”).
- For 5-/10-year monthly plans, the Covered Individual must be aged [50–74] at application (see 4B).
4. Paying for your Plan
4A. Single payment or up to 12 monthly instalments
Pay the full amount at purchase or spread the cost over up to 12 months. Prices are shown before checkout and confirmed in your Funeral Plan Schedule. You may settle early at any time.
Missed payments: if you miss three instalments (consecutive or not) and do not bring payments up to date after our reminders, we may cancel the Plan and refund amounts paid minus a cancellation fee of £[95]. Once cancelled, a Plan cannot be restarted.
Death before completion: if the Covered Individual dies before all instalments are paid, we will provide the services once any outstanding balance has been paid in full by you or the Nominated Representative.
4B. 5- or 10-year monthly plans
Monthly price is based on the Covered Individual’s age at application. A one-off arrangement fee of £[95] is payable at start; the balance is paid monthly over 5 or 10 years. Payments are fixed during the term. No deposit or ad-hoc overpayments are permitted.
Moratorium & accidental death: if death occurs within the first 12 months from Plan start, the insurer will usually not pay unless death is classed as Accidental Death (see Definitions). If not accidental, you may (a) request a refund of amounts paid, or (b) pay the difference between amounts paid and the single-payment price at purchase to receive Plan benefits. After 12 months, full benefits apply.
Missed payments: if you miss three instalments and do not bring payments up to date after reminders, we may cancel the Plan. If cancelled within 12 months, we refund amounts paid; after 12 months, no refund is due. Once cancelled, a Plan cannot be restarted.
4C. How we look after your money
[Select and complete] Either Trust route: your payments are paid into a legally separate Trust until the funeral takes place; or Insurance route: we use your payments to buy a whole-of-life insurance policy from an FCA-authorised insurer with EcoCremation as beneficiary, which pays out at the time of need. Update your Summary to specify the route and (for insurance) the insurer name.
If you operate a Trust, include how often an actuary/solvency assessment is performed and where a report can be accessed. If you operate via insurance, include policy characteristics and key exclusions.
5. Using the Plan at the time of need
5.1 What to do when someone dies
Your Nominated Representative should contact us as soon as possible using the details in 10.5 Contact. We will confirm Plan details, gather required information and make arrangements with our partners.
5.2 Moratorium (for 5/10-year plans) & accidental death
For 5/10-year plans, benefits are limited in the first 12 months unless the death is accidental. See 4B for refund/upgrade options.
5.3 Crematorium allocation
We will allocate a suitable crematorium within our partner network. We will take preferences into account but cannot guarantee a specific venue/date/time.
5.4 Ashes
We will return ashes within [14] days to an address in mainland Great Britain, or scatter them in the crematorium garden on request. Proof of identity may be required on delivery or collection.
5.5 Repatriation
The Plan does not cover repatriation from abroad. If a death occurs outside mainland Great Britain, the family must arrange and fund repatriation to the UK before the Plan can be used.
6. Changes, transfer, missed payments, cancellation
6.1 Changing your Plan
You may request changes at any time. If you upgrade, you pay the difference between the price you paid and the current price of the new plan. If you downgrade, we refund the difference between the current price of the new plan and the original price. No admin fee is charged for plan changes.
6.2 Transferring ownership
Ownership (Customer) may be transferred to another adult by notifying us; the new owner accepts these Terms. The services apply only to the named Covered Individual and cannot be reassigned to another person.
6.3 Missed payments
See 4A and 4B for missed-payment outcomes depending on your payment type.
6.4 Cancellation and refunds
- Cooling-off: cancel within 30 days of activation (single/12-month plans) for a full refund, or within 12 months (5/10-year plans) for a refund of amounts paid.
- After cooling-off: single/12-month plans — refund of amounts paid minus £[95]; 5/10-year plans — no refund after 12 months.
- After death: if the Plan is found after death, we may request a death certificate and an indemnity form before any refund as above.

[If your plans are FCA-regulated] Include details of your complaint handling timescales and the right to refer unresolved complaints to the Financial Ombudsman Service after 8 weeks (or a deadlock letter), plus whether the FSCS applies to any insurance route you use.
